The original timber and slab cottage was built on the site about 100 years ago. The sitting room and two main bedrooms form the original structure. The house has had a major renovation and now offers an all new kitchen/dining extension, appliances, furnishings and décor.
Decorated in a soft organic colour scheme that gives it a slightly country feel with a hint of the Hamptons.
You are welcomed through the red door into the boot room, leading through to the kitchen, which will delight you. The kitchen has been fully renovated to a high standard, boasting a beautiful country style electric oven and induction cooktop, large walk in pantry, it truly is a chef kitchen and is the heart and soul of the house. You’ll also find a Nespresso machine and pods for your stay.
The rustic farmhouse table can seat 8-10 and has the most wonderful view of the garden and paddocks through the large wrap around windows. This area catches the sun, morning and afternoon. The large sliding doors open up onto paving and connect to the breakfast deck and the sunset bar.
The house has 3 bedrooms, 2 with queen beds and the third with a double bunk bed, sleeping 7 in total. Each room has its own heater and queen beds have electric blankets for the cold Tassie nights.
Spend your evenings curled up in front of the fire in the living room, or watch a movie on the big screen TV in the rumpus room at the rear of the house.
Both bathrooms have been fully renovated, with the main bathroom featuring a large shower and beautiful bath tub that looks out over the western paddocks. Perfect for a sunset soak. The second bathroom has been consciously renovated, with accessibility in mind, with a large open shower and hand rails.
The house also features a full laundry with washing machine and dryer, and an office nook.
